Our Principal Belinda Hartney has been teaching since 1990. She qualified with the Federation Asscoiation of Teaching and Dance (FATD) in 2000, and became an Affiliate Member of ATOD in 2008. She also qualified with Vic Fit in 1992. She specialises in Jazz, Tap and Lyrical and teaches the ATOD syllabus to all ages.
Belinda has had an extensive career as a professional dancer travelling with a variety of shows and performances and has gained a broad knowledge of dance. Belinda has been the Principal of the Lind-Elle School of Dance, since taking over from Top of the Town Dance School in 1998 and has taken its modest beginnings of less than 40 students to its present day success.
Over the past 20 years, Belinda has taught the love of dance to hundreds of young dancers as the school continues to expand.
Belinda's knowledge and experience has led to her being a requested adjudicator for countless competitions over the past 16 years, as well as an examiner for other dance schools.
Many of her students have gone onto dance full time, study in performance based tertiary qualifications, or become qualified in teaching themselves.
